I found the source image for this entry to be quite uninspiring to the point of not wanting to enter. My first idea was to create a crime scene called, "Preacher's Wife," which would be based on a current event. The image didn't resonate enough to follow through. Because the source is titled, "Enjoying the View" I settled on creating an image about someone else's view. My first idea was to layer in a shot of live lobsters in a tank over the sky with additional images from the fish market. I killed that idea as well. "Peephole" finally popped into my mind. I found a wooden fence with a peephole image at istockphoto.com. I then took a picture of my hand with one finger reaching out as though to touch the object of one's affection. The rocky slope was cut out from the source and several were layered onto the peephole and my hand to create a kind of rock and driftwood appearance. Careful attention was paid to composition so that the viewer would see the woman from the admirer's point of view.
