I'd been wanting to use a monster picture I'd photographed a couple years ago. I began by creating the backdrop for the monster out of the source image. After fiddling with it I created a barred doorway, cut out my monster and feathered him in. I then colorzied the monster based on the colors in the backdrop and repainted his waft of hair from scratch. Painted in some fog to hide the monster parts I didn't want to fix. Overlayed the whole image with one color to help tie it together. I'm told the monster is Chaos from Primal Rage.
