One creative technique I use in Photoshop is to create a clipping mask using the source and a small square. I then move the source around inside the square which then allows me to focus on a key aspect of the image. In this case I decided the nose was a good place to add the eyes from the kangaroo source. I then performed some magic and used the smudge tool to create lots and lots of whiskers. Whiskeroo placed 3rd out of 48 entries.
