In my favorite Starbucks I was busy cutting out the lighthouse from the source image, hoping for some kind of inspiration. "Stormy sea music" came to my mind so I googled those words and came up with Beethoven's Symphony No. 5, which was a stroke of luck because I wanted to do a countdown to my 100th official entry at PSC. This find led to a search for a music conductor at istockphoto.com where I found the perfect one with tossled, ocean wavey hair. I also purchased additional images of a ship, a stormy sea, and a lightning. At some point I realized my countdown would not just be about the title but would be referenced in the new image. In this case I created five lighthouses. The ocean image was warped considerably before adding the lightning image to the top. The conductor image originally had him holding a wooden stick. The stick was replaced by clipping one of the small pointed posts from the source image located outside the lighthouse's green door. It was stretched and painted to simulate metal. Additional lighting bolts were added as well as various clouds.
