#97 For Irving Penn New Image Details Source Image Panel Content... For Irving Penn View votes/comments and other entries at PSC Panel Content... Contest Period: 06/09/2007 - 06/12/2007 A previous trip to the library resulted in my bringing home a book on photographer, Irving Penn. One of his famous images depicts the slender hand of Miles Davis in a contorted pose with the middle finger pointing downward. I decided to replicate the image as best I could by shooting my own hand. The sleeve on my hand comes from the source image -- the black rim of the mailbox. The background is also all source.
