#65 So Long, JimmiePanel Content...Panel Content...Contest Period: 04/21/2007 - 04/24/2007 "So long, Jimmie" was created in honor of Jimmie Monteith Jrs' heroic actions during World War II. It is also about the many lives that were sacraficed in order to bring a ray of hope back into the world. Jimmie's image was found here. Original working title was "Goodbye, Jimmie" but James Blunt's song "So long, Jimmy" worked it's way into my head. I added a couple of lines from the song, changing the ending of one line by adding the word "brave." Click on the new image tab to see and read (animation may take a moment to load).
