#76 Kiss the SkyPanel Content...Panel Content...Contest Period: 05/087/2007 - 05/11/2007 My first thought was to create a moon out of the lighter colored glass. After that I didn't know what it would be about. I began by distorting and changing the perspective of the stained glass so that it faced me. I then clipped each piece of glass and grouped them into folders based on color. After cleaning up the edges and moving the pieces around I began turning on one color set at a time. During this process I was able to rearrange the blue parts into the main character. From there decisions were made on what pieces to keep and how to use them. I also decided early on to keep it simple by creating a rearrangement of the existing pieces. I would attempt to only duplicate, resize and rotate the pieces; thereby avoiding the need to make custom shapes. The parrot's blue eye was used to create the character's eye and lips. Red glass was overlayed on one copy of a blue eye to represent lips. A line was drawn through the shape to create top and bottom lips. The star was created out of the tiny yellow portion of the bird's beak. Panel Content...![]() |
